Hi from all of us at Gooree.
We’re delighted to be sharing our first blog with you as well as sharing some news from the Gooree (staffing) stable.
We are proud to introduce three of the latest additions to the Gooree team:
Monica’s love of horses began when as a young girl, the family moved to the Gooree farm. One of the famous family stories of Mr & Mrs Cojuangco, Monica’s grandparents and owners of Gooree farm, was when Monica released one of the prized horses from a yard because she thought “the horse was feeling lonely“. After competing on the show jumping circuit during her teens, Monica officially joined the racing scene at 21 years of age. Since that time, Monica has worked with a number of notable trainers including Bart Cummings and Gai Waterhouse. In her role at Gooree, Monica is responsible for all facets of Gooree’s thoroughbred racing. Monica holds a Bachelor of International Studies degree with a double major in Marketing and Government & International Relations, and a minor in Spanish. Monica is based in Sydney NSW.
As one of the more recent additions to the Gooree team, Jess has deftly embraced the art of multitasking – as the face of Gooree at our front reception, lending a hand in the cellar door and undertaking accounts payable / receivables duties. A homecoming of sorts, local girl Jess has returned to Mudgee following the completion of her Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting & Finance in Wollongong. Prior to joining Gooree, Jess worked with KPMG in a consultancy capacity in their Government Advisory Practice. Whilst Wollongong and the local beaches were of great appeal, Jess is loving being home again and (thankfully) also loving the diversity of her new position. She is also hopeful two of her passions, going to the races and wine, will come in handy in her new role.
Deb has recently joined Gooree in a part-time capacity involved in the marketing and sales of Gooree wines. With a diverse background in marketing and communications spanning the past two decades, Deb shares her time between Gooree and other clients working on social media and mobile marketing. Within her new role at Gooree, Deb is relishing the opportunity of working locally for such a well known brand whilst combining two of her favourite passions – wine and marketing. Deb is based in Mudgee NSW.
We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks and months.
Until next time,
Cheers from the Gooree team.
